Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

In January I signed up to be a part of the "Now I lay me Down to Sleep" program. This is a very special non-profit organization that helps to give parents lasting memories of babies that are not with us for very long.
I have become a volunteer to give images to parents that they might not otherwise have.

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep was started when Cheryl Haggard's husband called Sandy Puc' in Littleton, Colorado. He called Sandy to ask if she could come and photograph their baby Maddux that night as they had found out that their little guy was not going to make it through the night. Sandy had orignally said that she could not make it that night and would come first thing in the morning but then Cheryl's husband said that that would be too late. Sandy was able to rearrange things and make it to the hospital that night to photograph baby Maddux's last moments.

Cheryl later contacted Sandy and they formed this organization that now makes free sessions available for families losing their babies all over the US. Photographers like me will photograph and then give all the images to the familes for their own use. Many families have found this to give them help during the healing process and give them memories of their babies.Acf4bajpg

An article was written in the Professional Photographer's magizine.

Although I hope that no one ever has to experience this loss. I want to make my clients aware of this program in case you would ever know anyone in need.
I will also make you aware that visiting any of these articles may make you a little teary as the stories from these parents and photographers are amazing. This is also a Christian based group and they offer an online forum for grieving parents and families. It is really an awesome group to be a part of and I hope that is my services are needed that God will use me to be a blessing in the lives of the families.
